WORKING WITH HM PRISON PENTONVILLE
We are delighted to work in collaboration with Re-Form Designs from HM Prison Pentonville.
The sackito bags are cut and sewn in Pentonville’s workshop giving residents the opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable work experience.
It is through Re-Form Designs that prisoners get involved in the creation of a sackito bag learning design, pattern cutting and sewing, which in turn can play an important part at the time of looking for work when they come out of prison.
A sackito bag is reusable, produced from a reclaimed coffee sack which is made 100% of natural jute fibers, durable and strong enough to hold most of your shopping. It is the perfect sustainable fashion accessory which prisoners create to help end the use of plastic shopping bags.
