FAQ
Why is every bag unique?
Depending on the print of the coffee sack that we use to make the bag the design varies. Also, each piece is hand-cut and hand-sewn making every bag unique.
Are all components of a sackito bag made from reused coffee sacks?
Repurposed coffee sacks represent 90% of our raw materials. Not every element in our bags can be recycled from a coffee sack; we also use some new materials to make our products like thread, webbings and straps, but we source these products thoughtfully from local suppliers in the UK.
Can I wash my jute bag?
Hand wash in cold water is recommended. You can find more information on caring for your bag here.
How long does it take for my bag to arrive?
Normally it takes 1 to 2 business days. However please allow for an extra day or two. You can find more information on deliveries by clicking here
I need to return my bag. What do I do?
Contact us on info@sackito.co.uk as soon as possible so we can record your issue and correct it promptly. For more information on returns click here
Why are the bags made in prison?
This prison initiative of making bags from reclaimed coffee sacks, together with other programmes designed to reduce reoffending can have a big impact on the lives of prisoners and their families.
We are teaching real skills to prisoners such as design, pattern cutting and sewing, which can give them the opportunity to look for work when they come out of prison. We believe that prisoners who find a job soon after they are released are less likely to reoffend and return to prison.
